Impressions launch dedicated website for PC game

Impressions have launched a dedicated website for their forthcoming PC title Pharaoh. It won't come as a great surprise to learn that the game is set in ancient Egypt during the period when the pyramids were built (1959?). The object of the exercise is to construct Egyptian cities and build ancient monuments, including pyramids (naturally) and temples. Impressions reckon that Pharaoh boasts the largest structures in any strategy game to date.

"Our nomination for 'Best Strategy Game' from IgnPC.com at E3 made us realise what a diverse audience was clamouring for this game," said Lisa Humphries, product manager at Havas Interactive (they distribute Impressions games under the Sierra label - stay with us on this). "With the new site, we're giving people everywhere the opportunity to get the latest design information and make their voices heard by the development team." The development team will surely welcome all manner of unsolicited advice on how to improve the game.

You can check out the site at www.pharaoh1.com.The game is due for release in autumn.
