GTA2 Turns Shadows Into Stars

Rockstar Games and Moving Shadow Records set the stage for one of the hottest PC soundtracks ever

Rockstar Games and Moving Shadow Records announced a licensing agreement today that allows Moving Shadow tracks to be included in the soundtrack to Rockstar's upcoming PC and PlayStation title, Grand Theft Auto 2.

"Moving Shadow records are the premier drum and bass label in the world and we feel that it is a huge opportunity to co-operate with a label that is so clearly on the cutting edge," said Sam Houser, president of Rockstar Games. "Rockstar Games take the audio content for their games extremely seriously, and to have such accomplished producers as Rob Playford (Moving Shadow owner and founder) and Flytronix working closely with the award winning audio team of DMA guarantees both quality and credibility."

Moving Shadow Records will be publishing a compilation CD featuring 10 tracks from GTA2 and an eight-minute GTA2 promotional film.

GTA2 is the sequel to the ever-popular car jacking simulation, Grand Theft Auto, and is scheduled for release on October 22, 1999.
