Dear Future Gamer
I would just like to thank Martin N (FG37) for writing something sensible about the PlayStation. As a PC owner, I haven't had the urge to buy a PlayStation, and I played on one for the first time last week (no joke). As far as I could see, the only games available were sequels (Tomb Raider 1, 2 and 3), beat 'em ups (Tekken 2 and so on), driving games (Driver, V-Rally 2 and the like) and the odd PC conversion. With the exception of Metal Gear Solid and one or two others, there seemed to be nothing original!
Is it really that difficult for Sony, or anyone else, to publish anything remotely engaging?

It's not all that bad, Laurence. Sure, we've got our well-established genres now and we do moan about the lack of innovation at times, but there are some cracking games around. It's not as if the PC market doesn't suffer from the same thing either; it does. Open your mind a bit too. You may think Driver is 'just another driving game', but believe you me, it isn't.
