Isn't it time to give it a rest? The third really was a bit of a disappointment. Sure, the graphics had a bit of an upgrade and she had a few new moves, but what suffered as a consequence? The gameplay and story. When I played the original on PC, I was hooked due to the gameplay and challenging puzzles, the storyline flowed along and you had a purpose for going to different locations. The second jumped around all over the place and never really explained what was happening, and as for the third, well, what was going on? The fourth promises a return to the tombs, but is it enough? Hasn't the damage been done already?
I never completed the third one through sheer frustration of the difficulty level shooting through the roof. All this has made me tired of the series and just giving the graphics more of a boost and even more new moves won't be enough to spark interest in me - it will have to be damned impressive gameplay or storyline to interest me again. All this is a shame as it started off with such potential. I guess time will tell.

I bought the first Tomb Raider game and I loved it - after I completed it I still played it. The second one was good in the way that it introduced more people, rather than animals, but I got extremely bored in the end and never completed it. I didn't fall into the trap of buying the third instalment like my friends did. I'm glad I didn't as well - I played it round my friend's and couldn't even complete the second level because I was so bored! Everyone I knew who paid good money for this game let it gather dust after a couple of days.
I think it's ridiculous how people fall into the same trap every time and spend £45 on a game, just to disregard it and buy another one after two days. I think the gaming population should be slapped round the face with a wet fish and shown just how crap these games are.
