Sony and Nintendo drop hardware prices
With console hardware sales falling, Sony and Nintendo have taken positive action by dropping the price of the PlayStation and N64 from £100 to £80. Although the N64 has been advertised as low as £70 in some of the multiple retailers, this is the first official drop in the recommended retail price for some months.
What effect this will have on hardware sales remains to be seen. The price of games is more of a problem than the cost of the console itself. What do you think? Are you a PC owner tempted to splash out on an N64 or PlayStation, or is the price of games prohibitive? Your thoughts to the usual address please...
