Sonic for NeoGeo Pocket Color: It's Official

Check out the screenshot...

SNK's US office have just received an unfinished copy of the new Sonic game, and the company scrambled like mad to get some shots to us. According to SNK, the game looks, plays and sounds just like the Sonic the Hedgehog that we all knew and loved on the Mega Drive, including his blazing speed. He's got the spindash, the corkscrew turns, the loops... the works.

The game still doesn't have a specific title, but SNK have announced that it will ship in the US on December 1, 1999. We hope to get our hands on a version of the game very shortly so we can give you a full preview, but for now these screenshots will just have to hold you over.

First Pac-Man, then Sonic. What's next from SNK's licensing department?
