Millennium Soldier: Expendable
Dreamcast Release: September 24 From: Infogrames

Being expendable isn't very nice. You're thrown into the thick of the battle, armed to the teeth, with no chance of coming back alive. So what do you do? Take as much alien scum down as possible? Nah! We'd just sit in a corner and cry like babies...

Ooh, feisty! You're going to love this then. Millennium Soldier: Expendable is an all-out frantic gunfight of a game, reminiscent of classics like Commando, Contra or Smash TV. It's real sensory overload stuff with all manner of visual bells and whistles, as we've come to expect from UK developer Rage Software.

We're with you on that one. Rage's games are best served on a large telly rigged up to the stereo, for the full-on arcade experience. While we've always got time for the more cerebral challenges, sometimes there's nothing better than thrashing it out with whopping great weapons for that quick adrenaline rush.
