Oo-er missus! Tell me of the weapons and where I can wield them...
There are loads of 'em, a plethora no less, including napalm, flame-throwers, lasers and grenades. All your old arcade favourites are in there, like the three-way or 'spray' gun, only they all look so much better with a touch of Rage polish - some of the coloured lighting effects will dazzle; nay, amaze. The action takes place in six beautifully rendered alien environments and is split into 20 missions, plus four bonus levels.
Sounds like a blast. Is there a multiplayer aspect?
Why of course. You and a mate can experience the whole shebang in a co-operative manner, in order to create more explosions/carnage/mayhem/pretty colours to go 'ooh' at. It reminded us of Ikari Warriors, another classic from days of old. You know the kind of thing - you start off with the best of intentions, shouting, "Cover me!" and the like, but you end up giving your pal a dead arm in order to nab the best power-ups. Fantastic!
Or you could just yank his controller out of its port...
If you're a sap. Just kidding - we would never condone violence, unless we were talking about a football game, of course.
* Beautifully hi-res graphics with eye-popping lighting effects
* A vast and varied selection of devastating weapons
* 20 huge missions, plus four bonus levels
* It's an official Dreamcast launch title
* Don't take it too seriously and you'll have a blast
