Rugrats: Treasure Hunt
N64 From: THQ

You've got to love those little Rugrats, haven't you? Frankly no. Especially that speccy little ginger brat. Okay, we actually did think they were quite cute, right up until we played Rugrats: Treasure Hunt. It's a board game for the N64, like the wonderful Mario Party, only they've managed to make it a messy and decidedly dull affair. There are three 'boards' on offer - Angelica's Temple of Gloom, Pirate Treasure Hunt and Reptar Rally - and they all suffer from bad design, especially the latter where you don't really do anything.

Pah! Call this a game? Why would anyone spend forty quid on this when you can pick up Monopoly (paper and cardboard version) for around a tenner? Maybe we'd enjoy it more if we were younger... Nah, we're extremely childish and yet we still hate it, so ner! Utter poo - buy Mario Party instead.

Wing Over 2
PlayStation From: JVC

It's not often that we come across a PlayStation flight simulator. Those that do come along are usually very poor - Wing Over included. This time around, JVC have done a far better job in all areas. The physics model in particular has been improved vastly, offering realistic flying in each of the twenty or so aircraft.

There's a nice variety of planes too, a veritable history of aviation, with WWII fighters and Hercules transports right through to modern fighter jets. But don't expect to be looping-the-loop straight away... if you are to get any enjoyment out of Wing Over 2, you'll need to work your way through the comprehensive (and highly enjoyable) training missions. Once qualified, there's a lot of fun to be had in the various 'proper' missions - most involve taking off, flying somewhere, blowing something up, flying back and finally landing.

It's all good clean fun, until a building pops-up in your face. Oh yes, Wing Over 2 suffers from horrendous pop-ups. It's fine when you're dogfighting, but not when you have to attack a ground target - "where's that damn radar installation... Aargh! That'll be it then."
Decent game though.
