Tyrannosaurus Tex is the only game available that lets you play a deathmatch on a portable console, and this means trains full of bleary-eyed commuters blasting away the trip into work, and school bullies becoming a thing of the past as the playground is swapped for the virtual battleground of Tyrannosaurus Tex.

Not only does Tyrannosaurus Tex allow you to hunt dinosaurs, it also lets you become a dinosaur. In the multiplayer game both players can choose between three characters; an outlaw, a robot-droid and a T-Rex. Yes, for the first time in gaming history you can actually assume the role of a 20-foot dinosaur and literally eat your friends, in real-time 3D! Of course, you have to catch them first, so be prepared for an onslaught of futuristic weaponry and outlaw guile. Alternatively, you can both be dinosaurs and have a prehistoric fight to extinction...

There have been many wild-west videogames, even more dinosaur games and billions more sci-fi games, but Tyrannosaurus Tex is the only game to bring these three immensely popular themes together. This gives Tyrannosaurus Tex a very recognisable style - it's the only sci-fi wild-west game with dinosaurs in it... ever!

Slitherine Software are:

Ben John - Lead Programmer. Born in Australia, Ben is an old-fashioned, self-taught programmer. He started writing videogames on the Atari ST and Amiga in the early '90s. After studying Artificial Intelligence at University College London, he began working for Psygnosis in Liverpool, where he was involved with a large number of titles, including the award-winning Colony Wars, as well as Colony Wars Vengeance, Psybadek, Tellurian Defence and, finally, prototyping the next-generation Wipeout X for the still unreleased PlayStation 2. Ben formed Slitherine Software in May 1999, with the intention of creating market-leading, cutting-edge game technology, and infusing it with copious amounts of original and fun gameplay.

Craig Stevenson - Games Designer. A short Liverpudlian thespian who has been involved with almost every Psygnosis product for the last four years. Highlights include Wipeout 64 and Colony Wars Vengeance.
