This week: Game Kid, agony uncle...
Star letter!
Dear Game Kid
I'm a little concerned about the behaviour of my two sons, who are aged 13 and 14. In recent months they have become moody and aggressive, and now their teachers tell me they have been falling behind at school. My friend thinks this could be something to do with computer game addiction, as they both spend hours playing with themselves in their bedrooms. Could she be right?
Worried@Miltonkeynes
GK: Frankly, my dear, I think your friend is talking bollocks. There's no harm at all in youngsters spending hours on end playing computer games - an exercise which should broaden their minds, not stunt them. So don't you worry. It's far more likely that your sons are behaving strangely because they are being abused by someone in your family or because they have become hooked on drugs.
Dear Game Kid
My mate and I regularly have sessions playing Tekken 3, but despite putting in loads of practice and learning all the moves in the book, I am still unable to beat him. Please help me - I am becoming increasingly irritated by his bragging and piss-taking. Surely there must be some secret way of beating him?
Fedup@crapwebaddress.com
GK: I'm very much afraid that it sounds like you are simply crap at Tekken, and no amount of cheating or joypad pokery will alter this. If you really are becoming annoyed by your constant pastings, you're going to have exact your revenge on your mate in some other way. Why not try scratching up his car or shagging his girlfriend?
