House of the Dead 2 page 2 of 3
Dreamcast

4: House of the Dead 2 has multiple alternative routes for players to choose. Does that sound good?
A: Yeah! I could find every one and, like, see every single secret that the game has to offer!
B: That would help it offer a more varied experience. So yes.
C: It makes no real difference, does it? You just shoot the same monsters against a different backdrop. Humbug, etc.

5: It has bosses, too. In fact, it's very much like its predecessor, but more so, and it's arcade-perfect on the Dreamcast. Impressed?
A: My living room shall become a shrine, celebrating its very existence.
B: This is the standard of software that the Dreamcast deserves. It's a Good Thing. Fans of the genre will be delighted.
C: Light gun games are the little death of the gaming soul. They're lowbrow blasters for boorish morons.

6: It's very, very hard. Indeed, it's probably the most challenging light gun game we've ever played.
A: Really? Oh, joy! I shall hand in my resignation at work, finish with my loved one and spend every moment playing it!
B: That makes a change. It's nice to see this type of game offering more than a one-hour fix alone.
C: I don't like hard games. And, besides, I bet it's tricky in a 'frustrating', rather than 'challenging' way.

7: It has plenty of play modes to plough through. They've really spent a lot of effort on the conversion.
A: Wow! I shall open every secret and then phone a videogames mag to tell them about it in a curiously nasal mutter!
B: That, too, is a breath of fresh air. Although it's only a reiteration of the same brief, they help to sustain interest.
C: Pah! They're just reiterations of the same brief. They'll never sustain my fleeting interest.
