What is Chu-Chu Rocket's concept?
Excitement, thrills and panic!
What made you shift from Sonic Team's usual genre to that of Chu-Chu?
I just wanted to create a game that everybody could enjoy together and this was the natural result.
How will this title benefit from a new controller?
I hope the chance to play the multiplayer mode will increase!
Are there any plans to release a compilation that might include Chaotix and Sonic CD?
Not at this moment.
What is your involvement in Phantasy Star Online and Samba De Amigo?
I'm a producer.
Will Samba De Amigo be released on Dreamcast?
Hmm... I'm not sure. It depends on the Maracas Controller but I think it's quite difficult.
How do you see the Internet playing a part in Sonic Team games?
I think it's very interesting. I think you can recognise the excitement of online gaming.
Is it hard to balance being both a game director and a programmer?
I'm just a producer now, but I think it would be difficult if I had to.
What inspires you?
The imagination of a user's smiling face.
What game has had most impact on you?
Well, for a new title, Seaman was some kind of surprise.
What do you think is the biggest asset a game designer should have?
To enjoy oneself. To entertain people, first we must enjoy ourselves.
How do you think people will play games in the next decade?
It's changed a lot in this past 10 years so I can't even imagine, but I think it'll be much better.
