UEFA Striker
Dreamcast Release: November 26 From: Infogrames

Dreamcast is great, isn't it? Loads of lovely games available at launch, like Ready 2 Rumble, Power Stone, Sonic Adventure... um, hang on a minute - where's the obligatory football game?

Electronic Arts have decided to wait and see how well the Dreamcast is received before committing themselves, so no FIFA 2000 as of yet. In fact, there are no footy games available as of yet. Bobby Sega's own Virtua Striker 2 hasn't even got a release date, so UK developers Rage Software have got plenty of time to tweak UEFA Striker and still be the first to bring footy to the Dreamcast.

I just want a decent footy game for my Dreamcast!
Judging by the early code that we've played, Rage could be onto a winner. The graphics are superb, especially on the players, all the top European and international teams are present and there's a great training mode. More importantly though, UEFA Striker plays well in general. It's similar in style to the classic International Superstar Soccer on the N64, although many of the fancy tricks have been sacrificed in favour of realism.
