It's all very well having loads of targets, but where's the challenge?
And you'll be able to. It's standard these days to have full Internet and Local Area Network support, and Big Bang's no different so you'll be able to blast your mates to your heart's content.
But at the end of the day, shoot-'em-ups are a bit dull aren't they?
It's easy to be cynical, but we've been playing this and haven't found it dull at all. Though we're not saying it couldn't all go wrong between now and the game's release early next year, we can surely say we've found it to be highly entertaining. The game's missions are well structured and not the push-over you might expect. It's got that instantly accessible feel of a good shoot-'em-up but manages to get across a feeling that there's a lot more going on under the bonnet than just a no-brainer shoot em up.
Cool. Erm, what about the sound then?
Expect full 3D sound and a groovy spacey sound track to accompany the action.
Tell me something you've not managed to squeeze in earlier?
Cheeky. That's about your lot I'm afraid. It's a shoot -'em-up but we've been enjoying playing the early version and reckon this will be something to look out for come the New Year. That's your lot.
Do say:
Come here and eat hot plasma!
Don't say:
Isn't this just Space Invaders in 3D?
Splendid graphics engine
And jolly good sound to boot
Adaptive enemy AI
Full multiplayer support
Could run out of steam relatively quickly
