Future Gamer: Issue 58 £0.00

We might be consumed with the end of the year but you can bet the big players in the industry are all focused on what's going to happen next year and beyond. Things could get off to a fascinating start if the rumours that Microsoft's X-Box will get its first public airing at January's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas are true. Also in the news this week is speculation that the latest addition to the excellent ISS range from Konami will be the PlayStation 2's launch title. Sony and Konami will neither confirm nor denying the rumours. We can get five when we add two-and-two you know.

As well as all the news, there's plenty of other games-related information here to entertain and occupy you: the third part of our excellent Games of the Millennium feature for example. Thanks for all your feedback and top 10s but no more please. We've picked our 100 and will be concluding the feature next week. Until then, enjoy.

In this issue:
Preview: Gran Turismo (PlayStation)
We've waited ages for it but the wait's almost over with just the NTSC-to-PAL conversion work left to be done. So while the boffins finish that off, we take a test drive on an early version of Sony's driving powerhouse.
Review: Donkey Kong 64 (N64)
You wait ages for a decent N64 game and then something like this turns up. Rumours have been flying around about the bugs in this game, but we didn't come across any that would detract from your enjoyment of this latest Rare-coded wonder.
Feature: Games of the Millennium
The third part of our four-part look at the 100 games that have shaped the games industry as we know it today. Not all of these games are the best of their kind, but every one of them has had a profound impact on the games we play today.
