Dear Future Gamer

I think Future Gamer is a brilliant, well put together, reliable, readable, excellent site. I look at it every day and get it sent on Thursdays. Basically, I think it should be more detailed; for example, saying what kind of hardware will be needed to (honestly) run the game properly. In your Quake 3 review, the reviewer says, "Anyone with a P300+ and a decent 3D card will run..." The computer world moves so fast I'll be damned if I know what 'decent' means! That's just an example of the kind of area where I feel the site would benefit from a bit more elaboration.

I wouldn't mind paying some kind of subscription fee for improvements in Future Gamer. I mean, I just paid a £3.95 subscription fee so I can send online greeting cards for God's sake - it's not that hard to part me from a couple of quid, and I'm sure it's not just me!

FG: We try to cover as much ground as possible when it comes to machine specs required to run a game as it should be run, but we simply can't cater for every conceivable machine set-up. Making Future Gamer a paid-for service wouldn't actually help this and would, we reckon, detract considerably from its appeal.
