Are they big monster aliens?
Some are. Actually, all the units in the game are scaled. Infantrymen are small enough to get inside troop carriers, for example, and all the buildings (there are some urban levels) are sort of about right.

I won't be able to see anything!
Not true. The camera can be positioned anywhere and you can zoom in and out to your heart's content. You can view things through a sniper's rifle if you fancy getting down and dirty, or simply put the camera up overhead and view the battles like a traditional RTS.

And is the game's AI up to scratch?
Early impressions are good. The AI has been developed in conjunction with the University of Aberdeen, so expect some sneaky things to be happening under the game's bonnet.

So what other games is Dogs of War like?
Silicon Dreams describe it as a sort of 'Cannon Fodder meets Unreal meets Hidden and Dangerous'. And we've be inclined to agree with them at this stage.

What's your fave bit, then?
We like the way the game's borrowed from Pandemic Studio's Battlezone in that you can jump into any vehicle you like, at any time, and then view all the action from their perspective, in both first- and third-person views.

Do say...
Woof, woof!

Don't say...
Roll over, play dead.

  • Fully 3D environment
  • Jump into any of the vehicles during battles
  • High level of AI
  • Loads of units to flit between
  • It's another 3D RTS
