Future Gamer: Issue 72 £0.00

Take a deep breath - this is your last issue of Future Gamer. WHAT?!

Yup. After 72 magnificently successful issues, we're closing. "But why on Earth would Future close their excellent weekly free games magazine?" you cry. Because we're about to evolve into something even better. Something massive. Read the full news story inside.

As this is an extraordinary issue, we've decided to go out with a monster reviews special. We've crammed a full eight reviews into this last Future Gamer, but that's meant we've had to drop a couple of sections (you'll notice the lack of buttons to press on the left there).

Normally this would be the time and place for the Editor to sign off with a 'thanks for all the support in the past, we couldn't have done it without you, yada yada yada', but that's not necessary. Once you've read the news story you'll understand why you won't be leaving us at all.

Andy Smith - Editor

In this issue:
Review: Evolva (PC)
This is a curious one. A glorious-looking shooter in which you can adapt and evolve your bunch of fighters as you progress. Sounds like a cool idea, but does it actually work? Ben Morris has been growing claws...
Review: Resident Evil Gun Survivor (PlayStation)
The Resident Evil range of games has been excellent so far, and the isometric 3D viewpoint has worked well, but wouldn't it be, like, cool if you could be 'down there' in a first-person shooter, using a lightgun? Now you can.
Review: F1 2000 (PlayStation)
The officially licensed Formula One game covering the 2000 season arrives for testing and we've been in the wind tunnel with it. Which was silly really, because it's a PlayStation game. Anyway, read the definitive review here.

Future Gamer was brought to you by: Andy Smith [editor], Mark Wheatley [deputy editor], Andy Ashwin [news editor] and Gideon Kibblewhite [staff writer]. Contributors: Ben Morris, Kelvin Gan, Seb Grinke, Martin Kitts, James Price, Sue Denim, Alex Burrows, Tom Mayo
