A Site For Sore Eyes
|
| The Shockrave Site |
If you fancy checking out just how good the Internet can look and sound, head on over to Macromedia’s Shockrave site. All you need is the free Shockwave plug-in (available from the website) and you’re ready to play!
Lunchtimes will never be boring again with the vast selection of games, cartoons and tunes on offer. Fans of South Park should definitely take a look at the mini-episodes, as well as the bizarre ‘games’ like the Mr. Hankey Construction Set. It’s true! You get to fish your own virtual turd out of a virtual toilet and then stick on some body parts a la Mr. Potato Head.
Some of the games are a blast and there is something for everyone in there – from Bowling and Ice Hockey to the intriguingly titled Fat Boy Raids The Cookie Factory (how will he stay Slim?).
The music section is a virtual playground for would be DJs, with ‘Absolut DJ’ and the ‘SS7X7 Mixers’ inviting you to an impromptu jamming session. Those less inclined to participate can simply sit back and enjoy the sights and sounds of ‘Sonicnet Flashradio’.
This site also hosts the most comprehensive selection of animated email cards, or ‘humorous empathy for the oppressed’, that you’ll ever see. Send one to a friend at work… they’ll be dead impressed.
