A Site For Sore Eyes
|
| Soccer Shirts |
Well, it seemed a simple enough task. Choose a foreign football team, then set about purchasing a replica team shirt of said side on the Internet. We chose Dynamo Kiev (or Kyiv, as you’d spell it in the Ukraine), and because of Future Gamer’s impeccable research, we knew that it was a shirt that you can’t buy in UK shops. A gentleman from sports shop Soccer Scene on Carnaby Street in London told us as much. So there.
After much trawlage through various search engines, we happened upon Soccer Shirts, quite the most fabulous site on the Internet (with regards to football shirts, obviously). It’s home to the Internet Association of Soccer Shirt Collectors (IASSC), who are a hardy band of team strip obsessives. Best of all is the link to the shops sections, where you can buy shirts from all over the world.
We scampered in the direction of Subside Sports, a company based in Exeter. Hooray, they not only sell home and away Dynamo Kiev shirts, but also rain jackets, tracksuits and training shirts. Skip along to the Futbol Shop, too, which features loads of Spanish merchandise. Athletic Bib sells musical underpants. It just doesn’t get better than that.
