A Quick Word With
Martin Bramall page 2 of 2

What do you do on Saturdays?
Sit out on the lawn in my white suit and hat, smoke my opium pipe and watch the world go by. Ha ha! I'm not doing much at the moment to be honest - my weekends seem to have become more of a short gap between work rather than the 48 hours of fun that they used to be. As a rule I tend to go shopping for clothes and technology and try to do as little as possible. Don't do clubs any more really - eat out a lot.

What's the best work-related trip you've been on?
Recently went to Madrid which was fabulous - Real Madrid, Raul hat-trick, Bernabau stadium, Raddy Antic, Peruvian ladyboys, Columbian women, mirrored nightclubs, Scarface vibes, Castillian gangsters, beautiful architecture, superb cuisine. Oh and Premier Manager '99 is developed there.

Andy Cole for England. Discuss.
Nothing to discuss my friend - Owen's too young, over-hyped and plays for the dirties (and for now, is better coming on from the bench at international level). Fowler's an idiot, Sheringham's past it. Who else is there - Les Ferdinand??? Ian Wright???? Get someone in better form, with a better goalscoring record over the last four years and with Cole's European experience and he's in.

What are your favourite videogames mags (apart from Future Gamer, naturally)?
Edge, Arcade, C&VG. I like the multi-format vibe. All three are authoritative, passionate and entertaining. In different ways but always well written and informative.

Actua Soccer 4. What can we expect to see? Leeds with less stars than Wimbledon, Everton and West Ham again?
Oooh.......your programmes, your programmes. (an Alan Partridge gag, apparently readers).
