| What people in the industry really play... page 2 of 2 |

What has been the biggest videogaming let-down for you last year?
Sonic Adventures (Dreamcast) - I had such high hopes for this and the Dreamcast as a whole. But, while Sonic demonstrates that the Dreamcast is undeniably powerful, the game itself was rushed out of the door with hundreds of bugs and glitches - camera problems, collision problems, many places where you can get irrevocably stuck... Sega have promised to fix these for the Western release, but it shouldn't really have happened in the first place. Oh, and Gauntlet Legends (Arcade) - could have been great, but it's just too cluttered and confusing.
Any titles you're really looking forward to in the near future?
Gran Turismo 2. GT was really fun; and the handling of the cars felt so good it really made the game (and it doesn't look too bad either!). Diablo 2 (PC) - the original was a refreshing take on the RPG genre. FFVIII (PS) - if they can just speed up the pace a little bit, this should be great. They're all sequels, aren't they? How depressing - mind you, I suppose you don't really look forward to original games as much because you know much less about them until they ship. And I suppose ShenMue (Dreamcast) - because it a trendy thing to say I'm looking forward to.
When all's said and done, what's your favourite game ever?
It's a tie between Kick Off 2 - I recently bought an old ST in a car boot sale for £50 just to play it again... and Quake multiplayer, which I've spent far, far too much of my life playing over the last two years.
