Dear Future Gamer
I tend to lurk. To hang around, reading messages and magazines, but never voicing my opinions. There may be reasons for this, possibly because my opinions can be right out of whack on occasion, but let it be said, I strongly disagree with the severe criticism Bits is receiving.
4Later has been a breeding ground for low-budget, or low-viewed, series. I watch maybe three things out of the 20 or 30 that are shown weekly, and then only if I have very little else to do (which, admittedly, is common on lonely nights at 2am in the morning). Three girls, numerous games, half an hour. Not much to play around with. While it's quite obvious that the foreign blond is there just to attract a lusting male audience, the other two presenters seem intelligent enough. They may not be the smartest two females on the planet, but for a homemade show, they stand measurably high above the crowd.
I figure that I'm a pretty normal gamer. I'm careful with my hard-earned cash, my favourite console is the PlayStation, I only buy games I know I'll enjoy and I value the opinions of others highly. Bits hasn't been the most influential factor in my purchases, but it's certainly a contributing one. For a person like me, with only precious hours on the Internet available, I have little time available to download large trailers for games, or even to spend a lot of time browsing games sites. Bits gives me half-an-hour of entertainment every week, for which I am grateful. I wouldn't have bought a few of the games which I own (and avoided a few of the ones which I haven't) if it weren't for the video and information they give.
Let me conclude on this: it's not great, but it's the best we've got, isn't it? I assume that by the large number of letters regarding the poor quality of Bits every week that it has a fair audience, and there must be some reason behind your viewing. If three of us were let loose with a camcorder and a few games, d'you think we'd do a much better job of it? I respect these girls for their attempt, and will continue to faithfully watch Bits. It's one of the few sources of information a guy like me can lay his hands on and I hope it continues.
So it was a long conclusion. Basically, they deserve respect and Bits is the best of a bad (or, more accurately, non-existent) lot. Roll on.

Well said, Niall. I'm sure the girls and guys at Bits will be heartened to learn that they have at least one supporter.
