Future Gamer Should Split

Dear Future Gamer

I'm a gamer sitting here in the middle of Cape Town and I've been getting your mag for the last two issues. Lately I've noticed how much more console stuff you have in Future Gamer and, frankly, I don't even own one (no offence people, but computers live longer and have much more to offer than consoles!) so I don't give a crap for those console titles and whatever.

When I read the mail from this Alexander Möller guy, I thought that what he said was actually a good idea. The idea of a second Future Gamer devoted only to PC games would be cool. I mean, that would give people on both sides of the scene more of a choice and might end up improving the depth and quality of the information in those mags. On the other hand, it may increase staff and a lot of other things, but I think that in the long run it might just be more deserving for all of the people involved with the mag and for all of those who are reading Future Gamer.

FG: This is a long-standing issue, Nadim, and one that still isn't resolved. We want to offer the best service to our readers, and I predict that at some time in the future we'll offer the chance to have a machine-specific version of Future Gamer if it's wanted. I suspect that the majority of our readers will opt for the multi-format version of the mag though, because the majority of our readers are interested in the whole gaming scene. When and if we offer this service is still being debated, so don't hold your breath.
