| Credit Where It's Due |
Dear Future Gamer
I desperately want to get on BT Unlimited, Clara Net or similar for the weekend 0800 numbers. The trouble is, I can't due to them wanting a credit card for monthly payments. I work and my wife works, yet for some reason known only to the credit card companies they won't let us have one (despite just being accepted for a mortgage).
Is there any way I can get around this through some sort of complaints procedure? If you ran an article about it maybe they would listen, especially if a force of potential customers started building up. It's bad business practice to do this and the only reason I can think of for it happening is because credit card bills can't be cancelled as easily as Direct Debits. This is unfair.

It's damned annoying, isn't it? I don't have any credit cards either and it can be a real pain at times. I suggest you contact the customer support departments of those companies as they should be able to give you more helpful advice than I can.
