Continental Copies

Dear Future Gamer

I recently went on holiday to Lanzarote with my Game Boy, and I noticed that a lot of the shops were selling Game Boy games with 32 in one, 54 in one, all the way up to 300 in one written on the box. The boxes also had pictures of game characters like Mario, Pacman and even Sonic. They were very cheap, cheaper than one game in our country, so I bought one which boasted 32 games on one cartridge. It had Jurassic Park 2, Pacman, Duck Tales and Tazmania 2 on it, along with a long list of others.

When I studied the list of games later, I noticed that there were some similarities. Games such as Nice Pacman, Jurassic 1998, Tazmania Game and Happy Duck were on the list, which I thought was strange, so I selected these from the list and they came up with Jurassic Park 2, Pacman, etc. They were all the same games! And it wasn't in colour like the stickers said. I just thought that anyone going to foreign countries who sees this kind of stuff should know to study the game list carefully when buying.

FG: Any Game Boy carts that claim to have 32 or whatever games on them are illegal, cracked copies and should be avoided. It would seem they're not the bargains some people first think they are either, so don't waste your money on them.
