A Site For Sore Eyes
|
| Tom Jones - Reload Game |
A man goes to see his doctor because he can't stop crooning Delilah all the time.
The doc thinks for a while and then says, "Ah, you've got Tom Jones Syndrome."
"Tom Jones Syndrome?" the puzzled bloke replies. "Never heard of it. Is it rare?"
"Well," says the doc, "it's not unusual."
And this rather poor joke tenuously brings us onto this week's Site for Sore Eyes. The famous Welsh singer is currently undergoing something of a popularity renaissance, what with a new album of duets with the cream of today's music world coming soon.
The Tom Jones - Reload site contains a fantastic game in which you play the ageing warbler and must drive your tour bus along a road, picking up stars like Catatonia who can restore your credibility and give your career a boost. If you can get them to the studio on time, the coveted number one spot and the hits will be yours, but you've got to avoid amorous groupies, the cynical press and drunken roadies along the way.
This site requires the Shockwave download to play, but it's well worth it for a swift bit of tongue-in-cheek gaming.
After three now... "Why, why why, Delilah..."
