So it's realistic. Is it fun?
Oh yes. The amount of enemy soldiers walking around waiting to get wasted is just enough to let you blast away merrily, without taking bullets in your arse from 20 naughties who all managed to hide behind the same tree. Of course, there's scenery to admire and/or blow up. Should you get bored, though, you can have great fun blasting your 'buddy' in the head, so the game is sure to fulfil all your psychopathic needs.

Very nice, but it doesn't sound too varied.
Ah, but it is. It's not all shooting people. Okay, that's a lie, but it's shooting people in different situations, such as making sure a truck gets to where it's going. And finding a specific person. Who you then murder, usually, or save them if they're good guys.

How's the game looking?
As good as any 3D shooter. The terrain is never flat, which is nice, but compared to Tomb Raider and its ilk, the world does feel a touch sparse. A few more things to hide behind would be good. Then again, if there was too much stuff getting in the way, 'disabling' people would be a touch too difficult. And it doesn't suffer from the bane of all 3D games everywhere - pop-up.

Seems pretty darn good.
It should be. But you just wait for that Future Gamer review, alright?

  • Hurting people is lots of fun
  • Balanced mix of arcade and simulation
  • Two are always better than one
  • Varied missions
  • It's got to have to have that special something to be better than Syphon Filter
