Dear Future Gamer
N64 dead? I don't think so. Personally, I believe that it's still producing some of the best games around. Look at Mario Golf, for example - no other format has ever come up with a golf game which is so utterly brilliant. Donkey Kong 64 will surely be a winner - we wouldn't expect anything less from Rare these days, and then we're going to get Perfect Dark a little while later. Even older games like GoldenEye still hold out against the invaders.
Sure, I totally sympathise with anyone who feels like banging their head against a wall at THE Games UK's pricing scheme, but there are still quality titles coming out. The PlayStation is the console looking out of place in today's market - its speed and graphics look decidedly jaded against either N64 or Dreamcast (although I will bow to LMA Manager's brilliance).
If you're so loaded that you find buying all the low number of N64 releases still leaves you with a big bank balance then you may have a point, but for the rest of us there will be enough games to keep the console alive and healthy for another year yet.
Oh, and one other thing. What's with Michael Foster? Isn't it about time he had his own column? What is it exactly that you do Michael, because you must spend a lot of time writing each week? Perhaps you're a Future Gamer employee in disguise...

FG:
We didn't say N64 was dead, just that it's dying. We all know the quality of the majority of the games but many retailers have decided to give their valuable shelf space to either PC, PlayStation or Dreamcast games that have a bigger volume of sales. As for Michael Foster, he's vociferous all right but makes well-reasoned points - most of the time.
