The gloriously silly gameshow saw the legendary Stuart Hall and his sidekick, the late Eddie Waring, taking the piss out of contestants who had to negotiate various obstacles in comedy attire. Mr Hall became a cult figure and not just for his work on the show. Oh no. Stuart Hall knows his football and his musings are oft amusing, nay surreal. "Alas, our Robert is not the Robert Taylor, erstwhile film star, who was suave, sleek and fleet of foot," said Hall during Man City's 3-0 mauling of Swindon Town last December. "Our Robert is a runaway sideboard."
