We've mostly been touching stuff...

There's this pub just around the corner from our office, which sells a fine range of lagers, ales and spirits, and is famous for its good food and friendly service. We visit the place, it's fair to say, fairly often (much to the consternation of our bank managers) and have really grown to love it. But just when we thought the place couldn't get any better, they put in this (German, we believe) coin-op called Megatouch XL Extreme.

Megatouch could be loosely described as a 'quiz machine-type thing'. It has a variety of games on it - everything from cards to trivia quizzes - all of which are accessed and played by touching the screen. But all that is by the way: the one game we've been playing on it is a 'spot the difference' effort involving Knave-style pictures of half-naked ladies. There is a Hunks option too, if that tickles your fancy, although only Gideon has perused that option so far.

There are five differences in every pair of pictures to be spotted, and the further you progress in the game the less time you have to spot them. By the end of a session, if there's a drunken bunch of you, everyone's screaming, "Tits!", "Strap!" and, er, "Plant!"

And we'll tell you what: not only is it hours of fun, but it beats bloody pinball.
