Dear Future Gamer,
Currently I only play games on my PC (PII 350, 128Mb, 16Mb TNT Vid) and have never invested in a PlayStation since the graphics are shockingly bad! Having read the info you issued in your excellent Future Gamer ezine about the PlayStation 2, it does seem to overshadow even the mighty PC - that is for the moment.
Surely people don’t seriously expect this console to beat a PC? People are comparing its specifications to CURRENT PC specs, ie 300 RAMDAC compared to, say, 250 TNT etc. But by PS2 release in 2000, expect to see some 400-450 RAMDACS+ 32+ RAM. Come off it, PCs will always rule.
All PCs sold from now on will have DVD drives, most new cards have video out to TVs, plus voodoo3 + Rage Fury have proper hardware DVD playback - all the expected features of PS2.
Basically, PS2 will look better than PCs for maybe six months, then it will be the same as now, PlayStation will lag behind PCs.

The only difference being that a console costs a fraction of the price of a top-end PC and that’s always likely to be the case.
