Dear Future Gamer
Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know that I think Future Gamer is a great idea, appallingly executed. I've received three issues now, and there hasn't been anything that's grabbed me in any of 'em. I love the fact that it gets sent by email and you can browse it offline (so much so that I've nicked the idea, and a friend is even now writing me a C packer/unpacker for one of my own projects), but that's not much good if after one minute - you get bored.
Why aren't the names of the staff on the front page mailto's? Why isn't the diary page a form so that people can fill in their events and send 'em (still no events listed after three weeks. Oh dear...)? Why the preponderance of PlayStation and Nintendo games? (I have neither, but I have got a PC)...
Sorry, mate, life's too short. I get a ton of email, and if something doesn't grab me it goes. Take a look at gamespot.com for some ideas on how to make compelling content.

Thanks for that Jerry. Glad you like the idea and sorry to hear you think we're crap. You're in a small minority. To your points. If you go to Front Page, I think that's what I've called it (checks... yup), you'll see a list of who does what each week. Why does the Diary need to be in a form for people to tell us what's going on? It's not our fault there's been nothing happening, making it a form wouldn't suddenly set up some events now would it? Preponderance of PlayStation and N64 games - not a criticism we'd level at the mag (especially the N64 bit) because we try hard to get a good spread across the three main platforms. Erm, bye.
