Dear Future Gamer,
Thanks for a great free online magazine. Since becoming a subscriber to FG18 what I've read has been very enjoyable, unlike certain other computer magazines.
I was reading through the letters section of one of them and what a load of boring old twaddle the replies are, what ever happened to plain old understandable English? I'm not saying that I'm under educated but I began to think I was reading a novel from Shakespeare, not a computer magazine. I enjoy your Feedback section - I find the letters a lot more interesting and the replies spot on, so keep up the good work.
With reference to the James Merrington letter slating the PlayStation, 'shockingly bad graphics'? I have got to disagree with him there, with the likes of Gran Turismo how can someone relate to this game saying the graphics are bad? I have yet to see it beaten until Gran Turismo 2 arrives.
I'm not saying that the PC is crap as certain games shine in their own field - the likes of Half-Life and Quake II are brilliant and I doubt it's possible for the PlayStation to beat that.
I've been playing Quake II and Half-Life on the Net via the American Heat Net and been suffering from really bad lag at times which has really spoilt my enjoyment as these games are great when playing Deathmatches. Then, this weekend I downloaded Gamespy which has improved the gameplay 100 per cent - no lag, and nice and smooth all the time. So if there are any other readers experiencing the same problem, give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
Once again thanks for a great mag.

FG:
Gran Turismo is a great-looking game, we agree. I'm glad you've found a decent way to play online. If you're up for a Delta Force deathmatch in the snow at Novaworld (and this is an open invitation), I'm the one called Spike Mahoon (it's a long story), so keep your head down.
