Dear Future Gamer,
I think that the backwards compatibility of the PlayStation 2 will be a bad thing for Sony.
Here's why: let's say that three-quarters of PlayStation 2 owners have an original PlayStation. This means that they're paying extra for something they already have. The other 25% won't want to waste their money on PlayStation "1" games when there are far superior PS2 games available.
But then Sony probably know a bit more about all this than I do.
