A Site For Sore Eyes
Visit Britain

As the weather takes an upturn, our thoughts naturally turn to matters leisular. And hey, listen up, you don’t have to go to Benidorm to have fun as Visit Britain attests. It details a wealth of information about Britain’s regions including places to visit and even the finest local dishes (‘Probably the most famous Cumbrian dish is the Cumberland Sausage which is a traditional recipe of pork and herbs and is served in a coil - it can be over a yard long!’).

You can pinpoint which region you want to visit and then discover the area’s attractions and delights (no, really). A search engine enables you to seek overnight accommodation. Whether you want to walk, cycle, barge or potter around stately piles, every part of Britain is covered. Even Scotland and Wales.

There are even links for folk who wish to find information on ‘working holidays’, whatever they are. Cripes, what will they think of next? Working holiday. Ha!

The site is a joy for every Little Englander, for every Billy Britain. Even if you don’t want to go anywhere, you can have fun simply bouncing around the site, picking up snippets about different parts of the country. Go to it, Loft Rat.
