Future Gamer Recommends
Gran Turismo (Platinum)

Okay, so most people already know about Polyphony’s fantastic racer, Gran Turismo, but on May 21 you can buy the game from the Platinum range for a penny under £20. There isn’t a racing game that can match GT's looks, breadth and astonishing realism. You can rattle along in the Arcade mode (split-screen for two), take a selection of driving tests, upgrade vehicles or try and win some championships.

The depth to which you can immerse yourself in the game is somewhat frightening, but many have never even bothered with the game's serious 'sim' side. The Replay mode still makes you gasp at its TV-style quality. It's the biggest selling PlayStation racer of the lot (over six million worldwide) and will no doubt remain so until Gran Turismo 2 is released later this year.
