Dear Future Gamer
My name's José Luis Gallego and I write from Spain. The purpose what I'm writing is to raise the conscience of people about how a big company like Sega can use illegal snares to persuade retailers (at least the Spanish ones from I know) not to sell importation DC machines. The fact is that, like any other consoles of the past generations, there is an importation market, which far to be illegal, it's only selling at a high price, letting by one side enjoy to the hardcore gamer, and by another annoying companies like Sega (Nintendo and Sony are more permissive).
Sega's subtlety consist in - because they cannot ban importation sales - take into account the retailer who is working with Japanese DC and games, in order to delay some weeks the deliver of the local PAL machine from the punctual date for "fair" retailers. As consequence of that, retailers whose don't sell but only expose DC running games, had to stop showing it, taking the consequences would happen if they continuous creating expectation about DC, giving free publicity to Sega, and basically increasing the future PAL sales. Very well in fact.

Thanks for your letter, Jose. The problem is, and I'm not trying to be funny here, but I don't understand what you're trying to say. Are you saying Sega are stopping Spanish retailers from selling imported Dreamcasts and this is a bad thing because all the retailers are trying to do is raise the Dreamcast's profile?
