Release: November |
From: Empire |

While we wait for Empire Interactive's promising Sheep, they've snuck into the racing genre with this little number, backed by a rather well-known car developer...
Andy Smith
Ferrari? Jaguar? Aston Martin? Bugatti? It's got to be one of those.
'Fraid not. Empire have aligned themselves with American giants Ford for their forthcoming racer, and despite the 'household' connotations with the name Ford, they've got some pretty sexy cars.
Such as?
Well, the Ford Focus is doing pretty well in the FIA World Rally Championship, and over in the States, the Ford Taurus won 15 races in its inaugural year in the NASCAR Winston Cup.
Blimey!
Exactly. You don't need a sexy Italian name to make a decent racing car.
So which models feature in the game?
There are 12 different cars to race, including the Taurus, Mustang, GT90 and several 'concept' models. They're all highly detailed and decked out in the correct racing livery.
And what do they drive like?
There's a sophisticated physics model under the bonnet of Ford Racing. Empire are keen to stress that not only does the game offer real-world handling, but there's also an unusually extensive vehicle set-up mode, so would-be mechanics can tinker around to their heart's content.
