Okay. And I don't suppose there're armed with peashooters, are they?
In no way. You can arm your ships with more than 20 weapons, including nova cannons, pulse lasers, and jackhammer missiles. Enough to be going on with?
For now. So what does it look like?
Very nice indeed, with particle effects, dramatic source lighting and realistic ship destruction in 3D fullness. Oh, and some cool explosions.
Multiplayer madness?
Players will be able to dogfight in deathmatch mode or play co-operatively through the entire story with up to eight other players via LAN or the MSN Gaming Zone. You and your friends can create squadrons to share experiences, receive promotions and even gain command over each other, which should cause a few rucks by itself.
I should say so. Anything else?
You'll be able to navigate key parts of your capital ship with immersive 3D walkabout environments. You'll even have your own interactive bunkroom with a locker for medals, CD player, simulator pod for flight practice and even a fish tank.
Life doesn't sound tough for the flyers of the future.
You wait until you get out there, mate - it'll be no picnic, believe me. In fact, this bucket looks like it'll be providing one hell of a trip - provided the flight engine's up to it.
Has a storyline to keep you involved
Tons of ships and weapons
Boasts a large, 'living' universe
Looks nice
Let's hope the flight engine's good enough
