Dear Future Gamer
How come you take such a 'nanny' attitude to your readers? A few months ago you were telling us not to buy cheap Game Boy Color cartridges from eastern and southern Europe because not all the games were of the highest quality.
Now, in last week's news, you're advising Dreamcast owners not to have their consoles chipped because they might get damaged.
Can you stop with the patronising attitude? If I choose to spend £15 on a 50-game cartridge then that's my choice. Similarly, if I choose to have my console chipped then that too is my choice. As an adult I don't want nor need someone telling me what I should and shouldn't do, so cut it out.

Sorry you find our attitude patronising. We don't intend it to be. Our readers span a wide age range and depth of knowledge and we therefore have to aim our advice at as broad a target as possible. We don't advise people to buy pirated games and try to highlight the dangers people may not be aware of in getting their machines chipped. Sure, it's entirely up to them, but the plan is merely to remind people that they are taking a risk.
