Twenty-four hour sandwich madness...

It's taken just two weeks at Future Gamer to turn new-boy writer Gideon from a bright young keen thing into a cynical old hack who wants to murder the sandwich lady.

The curiously shaped bacon, lettuce and tomato objects we get delivered daily to the Gamer Dungeon, he's discovered, don't get any better with time, and more often than not turn out to be not only virtually bread-less, but also covered in inch-thick flour. In fact, the only thing that can be said for them is that they don't make you vomit as much as the cheese and coleslaw efforts.

On the gaming front, Le Mans Twenty-Four Hour madness has consumed the Editor's PC, leaving him with no time to do any work at all, much to the rest of the team's chagrin.

News Despot Andy has been ably beating off determined UEFA Striker (Dreamcast) opposition. A P45, reckons Dep Ed Mark, may be the only way of sorting that particular problem out.

The high point, or perhaps the low point, of the week was the shock return of former Future Gamer Dep Ed Steve Bradley, now at Sega Online Europe. He caught the train down from London just to take part in one of our midweek 'invitation' Actua Soccer 3 tournaments.

And he did so well he almost certainly won't be invited again...
