Regarding Matt's letter in FG57, and your reply to it... Just what is your point? Matt says that you can't use 'exhale' or 'breathe out', only 'hyperventilate' in the game. You reply that hyperventilating is not the same as exhaling, so the designers were wrong.
Eh? If they were the same, you should be able to use either verb in the game, but as they're not why should you be able to? Your argument makes no sense. You don't even know what the particular problem was in the game, so how can you comment on what the correct command was to overcome it?
It's no wonder you don't like adventure games, if that's the quality of your logic...

Woah! Andrew. The point we were talking about was the limited parser adventure games had in the early days where the exact words had to be entered to continue. This was just an example of an odd word being used where normally we'd all say something much more common.
