On the subject of requiring the right syntax to progress in adventure gamers: Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, a 'humorous' text-based game from the distant past. If you didn't give your last bit of sandwich to a dog just before leaving earth, you got eaten by the ravenous Bugblatter beast of Traal(?) I typed, 'kick dog' in passing and never completed the game... I was told about the dog in tones of massive condescension by an anorak type some years later... incidentally if anyone knows where to get a copy I may just be sad enough to try again....
