Sony's Commercial Suicide

Dear Future Gamer

What the hell are Sony doing? No, really, what the hell are Sony doing? I can understand wanting to stop people ripping them off by limiting the use of logos on unlicensed products, etc, but stopping magazines printing the word 'PlayStation' in headings is just blind stupidity! It's all free advertising for them, helping to get the PS out there and into the minds of the public. Next they'll make all PS owners sign a contract when they buy their PS, agreeing to never tell anyone they own one, or at least never to say its name to other people. They'll make them only use it on their own in a darkened room so you can't actually see the thing working. Taking this too far will quite easily kill of the PS and ruin any hope of PS2 being as successful.

On a side note, I'd just like to say that I was immensely unimpressed with GT2 - it looked nothing like I was hoping for and played really badly, and as a result I'm selling my PS and sticking with my DC. Really Sony, don't be so bloody thick!

FG: As I said before, Sony are sailing close to the wind on this and appear to be adopting an unhealthy 'we're in charge' attitude, something Nintendo tried a few years ago to their detriment.
