| Football, football, football... |
When Gideon joined the Future Gamer team he though he was joining a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. The poor fool...
"I hope you getting on with the news, Gideon," Mark 'The Whip' Wheatley said to him on Monday, his cruel, hard eyes boring into the boy.
"Err yes..."
"No you're not! You're playing Email Soccer!" Mark's voice quivered with rage, with incredulity.
"Well... Err...."
It's been a hard week for the cherub-like junior member of the team: tying to pretend you're working when you're actually playing a game is a skill the rest of the lads picked up years ago, but for Gideon... Oh dear: he's got a lot to learn...
"But he's been playing it too!" He pointed.
On the other side of the office, Jim was busy tapping away, apparently deep in work, no football pitch window open on his screen, no mail box open in anticipation of his next go.
"Well, he was..."
Wheatley glared at him sternly, making no reply.
"But look at Andy, then: he's STILL playing Planescape Torment..."
The words die on his lips as everyone looks over and shudders. We don't even know if he really is playing it any more, or just sat there in some sort of bizarre coma. In fact, we've come to the conclusion that there are some games that really are bad for you.
"Bollocks. What about a game of ISS then?"
Mark considered for a moment.
"Go on then."
