Free ISP service for online gamers

Internet Service Providers are well aware of the popularity of multiplayer games such as Quake, and the number of them setting aside bandwidth to cater for gamers is on the increase. Better still, coming in April is a new free ISP service with dedicated online games servers.

Jemma.net from NetGames is due to undergo beta testing in March and if everything goes well, the service will provide free Internet access (through 2 x 34Mb bandwidth links), free email accounts, free Quake II and other games servers plus low cost national access charges (1p per minute at weekends). Gamers will be especially pleased to learn that there are no monthly account charges and credit card details are not required.

Jemma.net have set their sights high in that they want to become the World's largest online gaming site and intend to run regular competitions with big cash prizes and will be launching with enough online gaming capacity to support 1000 concurrent Quake II gamers.
