A Site For Sore Eyes
|
| The Dialectizer |
It’s a simple idea and one which works beautifully. Take a Web page, any Web page and translate into one of seven different dialects. Then laugh at the amusing outcome. Choose from Redneck, Jive, Cockney, Elmer Fudd, Swedish Chef, Moron or Pig Latin. Simply type in the URL of the page you want translating and off you go. As an example, we’ve fed Andy Smith’s editorial front page into the dialectizer and asked for a Cockney version. Here’s the result! Cor blimey Charlie!
“Yer won't 'ave seen a magazine quite like this before so don't 'it that hammer and tack button just yet. We're a weekly games magazine aimed specifically at PlayStation, right, PC and N64 owners but we should appeal ter evry geezer 'oo's interested in the bloomin' games scene. There's one crucial difference between us and a regular website - yer can read Future Gamer offline and therefore take yor time wivout worryin' about yor dog and bone bill.”
