EB announce online package

Games retailer Electronics Boutique joins list of free ISPs

The trend for free Internet Service Providers continues to grow, as Electronics Boutique become the latest to offer the service.

In conjunction with Scottish Telecom (providers of Demon Internet, Prestel Online and Scotland Online), Electronics Boutique will be launching the service, called In2Home, on April 9, offering the usual features: unlimited free email accounts, free web space and, for a limited period, free technical support.

EB are hoping that the latter feature is their unique selling point as Lisa Morgan, buying and marketing director for EB explains "The key differentiation with In2Home is free support. Research has shown that 80 per cent of new users need very high levels of support in the first few weeks of being online. To expand Internet usage it's vital that free services do not capitalise on the inexperience of new users..."

In2Home CD software will be available for Mac and PC from April 9 and all 600,000 EB loyalty card holders have been mailed information enabling them to have the CDs sent directly to their homes.
